After breaking my heart with an email back on the 4th February that they were delaying release until 5th June (NZ & Rest of World Date) I now have something to ponder. As I’ve preordered, this game will arrive at my residence at 7am on the 5th June. But its a Friday and according to a small thing called an employment contract, its also a day of work. To have the day off and game, or not to take the day off and game – that is the question.
windows 7 release candidate
A new record! I started downloading the 32bit release candidate last night at 10.30pm. I had it on my PC, completed just a little after 11.30pm. Of course, by then, I was talking to the faeries and had to wait until after work today to install it on my laptop.
My first impressions from the first hour of use – its slick, fast, unobtrusive and everything vista isnt, and as for drivers, the vista drivers for my geriatric photosmart seem to be doing the trick.
jokes about auckland suburbs
Cruising the net during my morning tea break, I found this nuttiness about auckland suburbs here.

the domain of the kat
Last night I helped myself to the Windows 7 Release candidate and I must say I was impressed with the download speed. Within 30 minutes, I’d reached 50% of the download. The only download I think that went faster was an installation of Acrobat Reader. Don’t ask me how long I’ve managed to go without that on my computer, but I needed it, so I downloaded it and was averaging speeds of 250kbps.
That said, this is my first post here on my new domain. Something struck me the other day and I decided that I should have more control over my blog and webpresense etc, so I registered my own domain name and got some hosting! Kudos to Hosting Direct.
