Or, you could see if there's 900MHz coverage where you are, and get a phone that works with that - the iPhone doesn't. Maybe a 900MHz data stick for the laptop, and Wifi through that? All I can say is though... try before you buy. These are expensive things, plus you have a lot of credit left on Voda. Why not use up that first?
