vodafone voice / v.box

I question how many people get sent these each time. I have just received one today and I’m always tempted by the prizes, but I’ve never won anything, ever. Not even in the V.Box competitions.

They try and drag me in with offers of free cellphones, airtime etc, but every time I come up dry.

The only thing I have ever won off Vodafone was two tickets to Brooke Fraser’s album release concert for ‘Albertine’ at Hopetoun Alpha over two years ago. How did I win that? I downloaded one of her then new songs to my ancient Motorola V3x handset. Turns out, once I had downloaded it, it wasn’t Brooke Fraser, but Black Eyed Peas. In my apathy, I didn’t even complain. I forgot about the competition, until I won the tickets. I remember talking to another girl there who also won tickets and she said she had the same track mix-up with her download.

I will complete this survey I just got from Vodafone Voice. But it may be the last. Hope I win something….

Using the magic twitter, I contacted Paul Brislen, the external communications manager for Vodafone NZ. He states that 40,000 participants are involved in the Vodafone Voice, so therefore the odds of winning are better than Lotto.

I know each time I have bought a lotto ticket, I’ve always won something, and yet, nothing from Vodafone Voice. Hmmm. Lady luck is a mysterious being.
